My home installation is for me and my son's, and have Debian's default
cyrus.conf. ;-)

My work's one is for all students and workers of the university, and have the
START's expire removed and other modifications.

Debian's cyrus.conf has four expire lines by default :

One in START :
        delprune cmd="/usr/sbin/cyrus expire -E 3"

Three in EVENTS :

        delprune cmd="/usr/sbin/cyrus expire -E 3" at=0401
        deleteprune cmd="/usr/sbin/cyrus expire -E 4 -D 28" at=0430
        expungeprune cmd="/usr/sbin/cyrus expire -E 4 -X 28" at=0445

Did you keep those lines ?

Feel free to create a wishlist bug, I will second it.
But in a big configuration you will anyway modify the conf on other
lines (squatter, murder, maxchilds, ...).

Sincerly,
         Jean Charles Delépine
