As I understand it the Debian/Ubuntu "cyrus" script just sets up an
appropriate environment for calling the upstream Cyrus utilities 
(making sure they're run as the "cyrus" user, for instance), so
"cyrus mboxlist -d" should be equivalent to ".../bin/ctl_mboxlist -d",
assuming UID/GID etc. are correct.

Good thought, but that's off on both servers and we're just using "." as the
separator.

Not the case for these:

# /usr/lib/cyrus/bin/ctl_mboxlist -d | grep user.[redacted].T
user.[redacted].Templates       0 s [redacted]  lrswipcda       
user.[redacted].Trash   0 s [redacted]  lrswipcda       

(And both of those happen to be problem already-exists-but-does-not-exist
folders.)
