I cannot answer this question.  Somebody who does not want to have <user>.d=
av files, has to investigate this and propose a patch.  So far you seem the=
 be the only one, who does not want to have <user>.dav files.

Next step would be to propose patch for including upstream.  In whatever wa=
y this patch is made, it is unpredictable, if it will be included.  So you =
keep the patch for yourself, and apply it, when you do again a version jump.

Already compiled without http.

Maybe if caldav_create_default was set to false during the first=20
replication run the .dav files would not be created?
