upgrading from 3.0.2 to 3.1.16

I note that the "UPGRADE" document here:

.... does not explain any upgrade procedure from 3.0.2 to 3.1.16.

If I update to 3.1.16 is there really no other work for me to do besides 
install the new binaries?
