You need to configure fts and then enable flatcurve, as it uses dovecot
libfts.

Although I don't know if flatcurve would be better ...
I run
mail_plugins {
acl = yes
quota = yes
fts = yes
fts_flatcurve = no
fts_xapian = yes
}
unsure how to proceed ;-)
