I don't know what options you're talking about, but it's worth pointing 
out the Thunderbird autoconfiguration project 
(<https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Mozilla/Thunderbird/Autoconfiguration>).

If IMAP ID is supported, that is a useful command to use.
