interface specifications or listening only on specific interfaces?

I don't see any options documented to do this -- and was wondering how to
restrict what interfaces imap listens on.

I have a multi-homed machine -- one interface on an internal network and
another facing outward. Though the outward is protected by an external
firewall -- I'm still looking at what services are offering "service" to
the "outer" net when I really don't want them to.

Is there a way to tell imap what interfaces to listen on -- i.e. so that it
will only listen on the internal interfaces and there would be no way
someone on the outside interface could connect to it, firewall or no?

Is there still official development and bug fixing going on with imap?
I.e. last I heard, UW had, short-sightedly, IMO, decided to divest
themselves of
years of expert mastery of the imapw project -- so I'm not sure how or
if it is being kept on life-support.

Thanks,
Linda
