{local} and other mailutil issues

Does "mailutil transfer" delete the source mailboxes and messages as it completes, or even as it goes? The man page doesn't mention it, but the name seems to imply it.
When I used {localhost} with mailutil it seemed it tried to ssh to localhost (I gave it passwords so this worked), and this is consistent with FAQ 4.3 (given that rsh is aliased to ssh on my system). r/ssh'ing to a system you're already on seems silly. Is there a way to turn that off?
Is there any complete documentation on the c-client syntax for use in the mailutil command line? From various previous discussions I can see there's a lot more than is mentioned in man mailutil, but I haven't found anything like a complete spec (http://www.washington.edu/imap/documentation/internal.txt.html would probably indicate the capabilities if I studied it, but it is internal function documentation, not user documentation for the mailutil command line). http://www.washington.edu/imap/documentation/drivers.txt.html has info on drivers for on-disk mailboxes, but not for deliveries using imap.
Lastly, any tips for using mailutil to transfer from courier to a cyrus server? On the latter, I'm a little concerned about getting the "realm" right, esp if I use {localhost}. My initial efforts to do the transfer failed, but I was having authentication problems.
Thanks for any help you can offer.
Ross Boylan
