I suggest that you make some sort of interface, making it possible to 
write your own plug-in.
One of the plug-ins could be a mailer, another could be the posibility 
to execute a shell script, etc. etc.
If it's made as an interface, I could probably voulentere to write the 
mailer plug-in.
