That's not a bad idea.  I looked at the jpackage web page.  They have
a JNDI package in their non-free section, but it doesn't include the
classes we need.  However, if I go to the location that jpackage
points to, I can find a place to download the (non-free) parts that I
need.  Tried that with gcj and it bombs out not being able to find one
of the classes that i know is in the jar.  Sooooo, that won't work.
(Especially since its in the non-free section anyway.)

So...I'm still not sure what the correct solution would be.

I see some MPLed ldap code in the jpackage repository and according to
its documentation it comes with a JNDI provider.  So....I could give
that a try and see if that works too.  Although, I need something more
up to date than what's in the jpackage.  I've downloaded the source,
so I'll play with this.
