Hi, We had to upgrade from Postfix-1.1 to Postfix-2.1.4 in order to be able to implement SPF and also spent a lot of time trying to make it work with SASL2. Since we are on RH9 and used rpms I do not know whether it'll work for Debian but still.. Everything started working after we put: pwcheck_method: saslauthd saslauthd_version: 2 in /usr/lib/sasl/smtpd.conf and pwcheck_method: saslauthd mech_list: plain login in /usr/lib/sasl2/smtpd.conf Depending on pam settings this works directly with LDAP or with both LDAP and AD via RADIUS.
