These files are named: "ldap:domains" etc

Therefore this should be: "ldap:ldap:accountsmap" although I question if 
this works

If you rename all the ldap:account, ldap:accountsmap, ldap:aliases, 
ldap:domains to ldap_<name>

Then in the config use: ldap:ldap_<name>

I think this is the issue.

> virtual_mailbox_base = /home/vmail/domains
> virtual_mailbox_maps = ldap:accounts
> virtual_mailbox_domains = ldap:domains
> virtual_minimum_uid = 505
> virtual_uid_maps = static:505
