ldap_simple_bind_s failed protocol error

Hi I've followed the Virtual Mailserver HOWTO, logged on to Jamm and set up a virtual domain and a couple of users. Trouble is, I can't authenticate the users from Outlook Express. Both IMAP and POP3 accounts fail to authenticate and in the Messages log I get ldap_simple_bind_s failed protocol error. My virtual domain is rvw.sytes.net and I log in as [email protected] using the password I've allocated via Jamm. Also if I try to send any mail from rvw.sytes.net (which isn't mydomain in Postfix) I get Relaying denied, so I guess my ldap connections are failing somewhere. How do I go about debugging this scenario? Any help gratefully accepted.
