Hey Keith,  

    i appreciate the quick response.       I can't get the logs just 
yet,  i'll have to wait until a little later tonight or tomorrow before 
I can get at them.

I am running 0.9.6 as my version.     I also found a workaround to the 
problem,  though ( as you'll note ) it's not exactly the cleanest way of 
doing things.  In experiments with various attempts to get it to work,  
I removed the users mail directory, then ran jammCleaner.   It 
complained that the user didn't have any files,  but that it was 
removing it from ldap anyways.   it then proceeded to remove the user 
from ldap ( and i confirmed it in the interface that the user was no 
longer there. ).    

I'm not sure if that will lead you down any new paths... it would appear 
to me as if ldap was working ok, and the problem resides somewhere else.
but then again i could be wrong :-)
