Hi Richard, Sorted! authdaemond was started, version ="" was already there, but "allow bind_v2" was missing from slapd.conf. I wonder if it is missing from the howto or because I am using Mandrake 10 and slapd.conf has different defaults to Redhat. Any, thanks for your help.
