Mail relaying on postfix using the Jamm environemnt

Hi Guys

Back to this list after a good time using Jamm to send mail - a great peice 
of code.

However, I've just hit one problem and although this is technically an issue 
for the postfix mailing lists, as my whole set up is Jamm, I thought I might 
try out the issue here first ....

I finally decided to try and send an email remotely, while travelling, from 
my laptop and, of course, when the sent email was sent to my postfix mail 
server, it bounced back the mail saying it couldn't relay the email - quite 
rightly.

So, after trawling through the howto's on the postfix site, I can see that 
it's quite easy to set up a tls connection from my laptop (email client) to 
the server, so all username/password info is encrypted.

However, it looks as though the only way of authenticating with postfix is 
through using sasl. So, the question is ... has anyone set up, or knows how 
to set up, the postfix main.cf so that relaying will be enabled for the 
virtual users defined by the jamm/ldap environment instead of sasl?

I would be more than grateful for some help on this ... if not, I'll pursue 
this on the postfix lists and repost the answers here.
