I coded some preliminary extension support and ported the annotatemore extension to it. It works, but isn't really tested yet. One of the main problems I encountered was that the parser does not only need means to invoke the extension parser but also the other way round. Thus most of the parts of mailimap_parser have to be declared non-static. Are there any problems with that? I'm not too apt with shared libraries on linux - would removing the static export anything to the .so? As soon as I cleaned up my stuff I'll send you a patch and some explanations so you can have a look at it and decide wether it's viable.
