Hi,

GMail's current IMAP implementation does not properly quote the mailbox names in the STATUS replies, like

[20:01:27] IMAP4> 633 STATUS "[Gmail]/Sent Mail" (MESSAGES UIDNEXT UIDVALIDITY UNSEEN) 
[20:01:27] IMAP4< * STATUS [Gmail]/Sent Mail (MESSAGES 520 UIDNEXT 765 UIDVALIDITY 4 UNSEEN 6) 
[20:01:27] IMAP4< 633 OK Success 

The attached patch works around it by retrying of the mailbox name parsing when there is no opening paren available yet.
