How do I determine S/MIME format mail??

Hi libetpan guys..

When I use fetch-attachment sample to receive S/MIME format mail
I receive smime.p7s attachment from S/MIME signed mail
????????????smime.p7m attachment from S/MIME encrypt mail
It seem like We can not decrypt this attachment alone.

Do?we need to decrypt whole S/MIME file?

How to determine some mail is S/MIME format mail, not MIME formail mail?
There is some fields in libetpan can show this?
