Ok, follow-up to my own report.... I tried to set a font for the editor in the preferences dialog. When I open the dialog, this field is blank. When I press ">>" to open the font-list a font named "Sans" is selected. There is no such font on my system ! (Using OOO and firefox to look for the fonts.)
