 Strange as I did test a similar fix in text sample and it worked. Anyhow,
the fix was wrong (see Vaclav's message on wx-dev) so I've tried another
one. Still untested...

 This would be ideal, of course. But it's more complicated than it seems,
if only because we definitely shouldn't be treating the text of mail
messages as Unicode (it never is and we don't want to convert possibly huge
messages to/from Unicode all the time!).

 Anyhow, it's not really surprizing that it doesn't work as Pango
implementation of wxFont doesn't implement any encoding-related functions
at all. I'll try to see what I can do.
