2 problems: IMAP(config.) & news

Hello All:  I am unable to configure IMAP4. I get
errors messages. 1 is about invalid token
suggesting not a SSL server. I also get error
message:  No input for log name field, yet seems to
be there.  Query could the .exec be corrupt?  Have
not uninstalled nor deleted the .exec ( download
file.
Problem 2:  Found no way to specify # of headers to
DL. Extremely dysfunctional to DL 14 h worth of
messages when I only want most recent.
*Note*: I hate tinkering; I lack the mechanical
mindset.
