attachment handling

Are there possibilities for attachment handling in Mahogany? What I would like to do, is: Have a filter on mail and then for particular mail with attachment with particular name, save it automatically to a particular system (so not a Mahogany folder) folder. Is this possible with some Python programming? Any suggestions how to do this? What objects can I use for this?
