changing ' dot ' and ' at ' to '.' and '@'

Mahogany has IMO intelligent handling of email address entry. But I am proposing another innovation. Increasingly I find myself copying and editing email addresses that contain ' dot ' and ' at ' as spam fighting strategies. Could Mahogany recognize and transform these (ignoring case)?
