 Sorry, I really have no idea. If the module documentation says it supports
MBX, then you should. If it doesn't, you won't.

 There is no documentation as the author insists that any access to MBX
folders should use cclient library (which M uses). I do know that there are
Perl modules wrapping it but I don't know about Python.
