location of Mahogany data

On Windows XP, Mahogany stores user data in the home directory.
This seems a bit unfriendly.  Would it not make more sense 
to isolate it in a folder, perhaps in
%home%/Mahogany
or if it is appropriate (??)
%home%/Application Data/Mahogany
