selection oddity

Suppose I am reading my email one by one,
deleting as I go, and I come to the first
of a series that I wish to move.  If I
press shift+downarrow, all the preceding
messages are selected, not just the currently
selected message plus the next one (as reached
by downarrow).

Minor bug?
