maildrop 2.6.0 here, built from source. I believe that is up to
date.

Mac OS has "strange" tmp file locations under /var/folder/ but
that wasn't a problem in 10.5.8 - and other programs, including
my own scripts don't have a problem now with 10.8.4 either.
