This must have been a problem at least since Mac OS 10.7 (switch to clang). I've looked a bit what packagers do regarding patching: - fink does not offer maildrop anymore - macports offers maildrop, but without any significant patching afaics; looks like no-one actually uses maildrop, or only simple configs without xfilter Duh.
