Same source, different options. The difference amounts to the behavior at  
startup, with regards to locating the account and the mailbox – precisely  
where you got stuck – and a few differences in exit codes.

Yes, this will work for you. This is not ideal, but this'll work. This ends  
up looking up the same account, twice. Just a tiny bit slower than it really  
has to be.
