How to make maildrop give autoreplies and do forwarding?

Configured from within sqwebmail, maildrop will appropriately filter mail -- except for autoreplying and forwarding. Though I am able to send from sqwebmail, maildrop does not seem to have the ability to send.
    The .maildirfilter file has relevant contents for, say, autoreply. What must I do to have maildrop autoreply (and forward)?

    Also, what is the setting whereby maildrop both forwards and retains a copy of the forwarded email?
    (Right now, with a forwarding filter, I never see the arrival of/a copy of the email that maildrop is supposed to forward.)
