FWIW, on Mac OS Fink's package manager ships the following 2 =

header files with pcre2:

$ find /opt/sw/include -name '*pcre*'
/opt/sw/include/pcre2posix.h
/opt/sw/include/pcre2.h

By q&d replacing all occurences of pcre.h with pcre2.h and (maybe =

not needed) pcre/pcre.h with pcre2posix.h configure succeeds. =


However:

However, Fink only offers automake-1.15 so far. I won't go as far =

as to build 1.16 on my own. Out of curiosity I disabled the =

version check, and maildrop built ok.
