I had this problem with AOL.  It appeared to me to be a pissing contest 
between AOL and the folks who host my server.  AOL was classifying any 
message containing over five AOL addresses as SPAM, and blocking them.  This 
also applied to any other ISP they owned, such as Netscape.

Several of the AOL subscribers on my list told me that they had complained 
to AOL and were able to get the list that way.  I suggested to all of the 
others that they complain, or look into an alternative ISP.

I did install bulkmailer, and then broke the outgoing messages down into 
groups of five.

All of this solved the problem.
