Is this sendmail = virtualtable related? I suspect it's a server/sendmail problem. Run hostname and see what's returned. If it's 'the default' of localhost.localdomain or something similar, then you may have to manually set the hostname on the server. Otherwise, you can setup sendmail.cw then run m4 sendmail.cw > sendmail.cf in /etc/mail. If the server uses virtual domains, then I'm not sure. I've not used those settings on my servers. Good luck.
