I'd second Mailman. I'm still here because I loved Majordomo and knew it pretty well at one time, but I moved all of my mailing lists to Mailman 5 or 6 years ago. At the time, I looked at MJ2 as part of my evaluation, but it's stalled state of development and the real sense of 'unfinished' I got was offputting. Mailman's well-supported, has a very active community and is currently undergoing a major update cycle.
