I think the reason this list is quite, is that for those of us left,
it just keeps working, & nothing new coming out, so not much to talk about :-).

FYI I'm running majordomo with no problems:
	perl -v
This is perl 5, version 14, subversion 2 (v5.14.2) built
	for amd64-freebsd

	echo /var/db/pkg/perl*
	/var/db/pkg/perl-5.14.2_2

	uname -a
	FreeBSD slim.berklix.org 9.1-RELEASE FreeBSD 9.1-RELEASE
	#0: Mon Dec 10 13:22:27 CET 2012
	[email protected]:/usr/src/sys/amd64/compile/GENERIC
	amd64

I too have considered mailman, but
	Dont want the transition,
I also have some fancy alias stuff to achieve a partial
fallback if 1 of 2 servers fails, that I'd need to review
+ mailman bit me hard in 2008, & that memory remains,
		http://berklix.com/~jhs/src/bsd/fixes/FreeBSD/ports/gen/mail/mailman/files/send-pr.no_customise
"An agressive 5 minute killer python loop"
When I migrate some day/year, I'll certainly be eyeing the
	crontabs carefuly.

BTW I use a few minor patches I apply to my 'domo
http://berklix.com/~jhs/src/bsd/fixes/FreeBSD/ports/
	gen/mail/majordomo/Makefile.REL=9.1-RELEASE.diff
	gen/mail/majordomo/README.PACKAGE
	gen/mail/majordomo/files/patch-ja-gen.REL=ALL
	gen/mail/majordomo/files/patch-jb-gen.REL=ALL
	gen/mail/majordomo/files/patch-z-dl.REL=ALL.diff.no_customise
	jhs/mail/majordomo/files/patch-ja-jhs.REL=ALL

I have written various help pages under
	http://www.berklix.org/robot/majordomo/
which might or not be useful for others to ref or copy.
I wrote them 'cos I have a lot of extremely clueless, realy lazy
people with zero technical aptitude on some lists. I got lots
of people sending eg HTML & horrible char. sets etc even .doc & a lot
of them tried to waste my time asking/demanding I sub & unsub them manually.

I installed demime in all the alias pipes to dump all HTML, which helped.
(I did that on list aliases & also the majordomo alias.
That also stopped list footers becoming invisible if people sent mime.

Recently I've been getting a lot of quoted-printable excretia, which
majordomo doesnt like for sub/unsub as it breaks longish auth lines..
Anyone know of a filter to force back all quoted-printable to Ascii ?

Cheers,
Julian
