Disappearing messages

I see messages coming in and being enqueued in mj_enqueue.debug, but 
they are never delivered, and disappear from the queue.

Should I be seeing any sort of entry in mj_queuerun.debug, or 
elsewhere?  Do I need to do anything to increase logging?
  Any other debugging suggestions?
