CentOS 6 is showing a default perl version of 5.10.1 so i don't think
i'm seeing any issues there.

i see the following in error_log:

[Sat Jan 02 16:34:10 2016] [error] [client 74.70.243.84] mod_mime_magic:
can't read `/web/krusty/bin/mj_confirm'

which from googling i see is permissions, maybe conventional linux file
system permissions
and maybe selinux. i'm not seeing any error messages relating to this in
the selinux audit
log so it may not be selinux.

i will probably switch the box over into selinux permissive mode
temporarily and if the
problem clears up, it's selinux and if it doesn't clear up, it's
something else.
