HI,
  I have tried that, but it seemed that the program did not run. All my
mails were still on the server, with a local copy, not in ~/Mail/inbox
folder.
  And when I used fetchmail, it gave me a file for each mail. With mew, it
gave me a file for each mail, which was in the format of "mew headers +
encoded fetchmail format mail".
