Hello, > While at (Draft) or (Summary), emacs tells me that it's using > ctext-unix coding system. Isn't suppose to use utf-8? Yes. We should use UTF-8 in the near future. Gettting back to 1994 when I started writing Mew, there is not UTF-8. And it was unsure whether or not Unicode would be accepted in the world. I designed Mew to support multi-lingual feature from the beginning. At that time, CText is only stable charset for multi-lingual. Now Emacs 22/23 supports UTF-8 natively. Emacs 23's CText support is buggy. So, I'm planning to change the charset of Summary to UTF-8. Additionally, quoted-printable/base64 of message bodies should be decoded. That's why I change Mew's version to 7 on github. I will re-write "mewl" in Haskell since it seemed to me that programming in C or Ruby wastes my time. I'm busy until the end of March. So, I probably will do it from the next April. --Kazu
