Joel,

I've got no idea what is going on and you have already been
pointed to the logging facility that may help with debugging.
But this message is coming to you from Mulberry 4.0.8 on a Win 7
64 bit machine and it works just fine. I don't remember doing
anything special and just checked the "compatibility" settings
and nothing is turned on.

One hint that you may need later even if it isn't part of this
problem: Mulberry and the tool kit on which is it built have
some ideas about where things are located in the file system
that are inconsistent with the way Windows 7 (and especially
Win7 64 with its separate Program Files, Program Files (x86),
and Program Data trees) is organized. If you use nothing but
default locations in installation, most of those issues will
sort themselves out. If you don't, you are likely to be in for
multiple surprises, some of which you will have to sort out by
putting in explicit links. Even if you get that right, you will
still discover that some things, like "View Parts" are a problem
because the operating system apparently puts those temporary
files in a place different from where Mulberry looks for them.
I'm guessing that a well-placed link would solve that problems
too, but I have had the time or energy to track down where to
put it and what to point it to.

   good luck,
