Sorry for the off-topic posting, but here a signature used by Steve Kirkendall, the author of the Elvis text editor (the editor I used for composing this very mail), comes into my mind: | A: It is confusing, since people don't read that | Q: Why is top-posting bad? | A: It is adding comments to the top of a message. | Q: What is top-posting? I frequently get mails from my customer asking me to look into something. Usually these mails consist of this sort of thing. If find it extremely hard to read, in particular because you have to read a mail from top to bottom, then go back up again, find the next more recent mail etc. Of course I don't complain, I just keep composing my mails the way proposed by RFC 1855, and it seems to me like my customer is getting more and more to appreciate this, as finding out 'what it is all about' is so much easier and less time-consuming this way. I don't miss any particular support for top-posting :) Cheers, M'bert -- ----------- / http://herbert.the-little-red-haired-girl.org / ------------- =+= My opinions may have changed, but not the fact that I am right.
