So, responding to myself since nobody answered that one, are there
*any* Mac or Windows developers in the crowd (even without Qt
experience)?  I'm thinking of people that would have at least a
reasonable expectation of addressing build problems and platform
idiosyncrasies.

If anyone decides to start doing anything on this, please ping me.
(No, I'm not yet decided if I'll take it up.)
