Sounds cool... and I don't think TB has even an Addon that does
precisely this, although I'm sure it could easily be done with one.
There are a few that go part way there (Color Folders and Account
colors) though, but they don't appear to have rules/styles that can be
applied on the fly. I did find some references to accomplishing this by
manually adding some code to the userChrome file, but that can get hacky
for most...

So, that's definitely one for Mulberry... ;)

TB has its native 'View > Folders' choices (Unread being one of them),
and it definitely works across the multiple accounts, but you can also
create an unlimited number of 'Virtual' folders (basically, a folder
that displays all messages that fulfill a specified Search criteria,
which can span )... simple Virtual folder (TB has great support for
these) would work for this - and there is also the excellent
QuickFolders Addon does some cool stuff too.

Yeah, it definitely does Tabs (and remembers them across sessions, if
you like keeping certain ones open all the time).

Personally, I really dislike tabs in my mail client. the only one I
haven't been able to completely get rid of is the Calendar, but that is
actually ok in a Tab...

Thanks Quanah, I'm actually looking forward to giving Mulberry a spin...
