The reality is, a) everyone has their own likes and dislikes, and b) the
vast majority of people simply hate change.

So, if you're used to Mulberry (or Thunderbird), then you will almost
certainly look at another client that doesn't have a very similar look
and feel and say 'WTF were they thinking!?!?!' - just like I do every
time I have to help someone with Outlook...

I assume you meant 'reorganize the accounts', because Folderpane Tools
only worked (it is no longer supported) on accounts.

Much better (and fully supported) is 'Manually sort folders', which
works for both Accounts *and* Folders... :)

I use (for a long time) the first two, no need for 'smart template', but
THANK YOU for the reference to 'Toggle Headers'... that is one I've been
missing since a different one ('View Headers Toggle Button') was
abandoned a very long time ago when TB v3 was introduced. I just wish
there was a toolbar button I could add in addition to the keyboard
shortcut...

Yeah, found that one a long time ago too, and that lack is a silly thing
for them to not allow natively...

Don't use it, but agree that the few times I've looked at it, it was
just too much pain for not enough gain for my personal tastes.

It is funny too... in many cases, I'm what some would call a privacy nut
- but I'm also practical, and the number of people who I would be able
to exchange PGP encypted emails is ew and far between, and they don't
have the capability anyway. It is on my 'someday' list though...

Maybe because you don't need one... right-click > 'Paste as Quotation'
works perfectly fine as it is... ;)
