Hello Mutt Users,

I'm pleased to announce the release of 1.13.5. Instructions for=20
downloading are available at <http://www.mutt.org/download.html>, or the=20
tarball can be directly downloaded from <http://ftp.mutt.org/pub/mutt/>.=20
Please take the time to verify the signature file against my public key.

This release fixes a use-after-free bug. Thanks to Vita Batrla for the=20
bug report and patch. It also fixes a couple of format string=20
processing bugs.

Next Release Testing:

The next major release is getting closer, and I'd like to ask those=20
comfortable compiling Mutt from git to please give it a try. Some=20
features I'd appreciate help testing are:

* Background editing:
<https://muttmua.gitlab.io/mutt/manual-dev.html#bgedit>
If you use a graphical editor, this allows you to return to the index=20
and perform other operations while composing (including composing other=20
messages). Please read the linked documentation for more details.

* $imap_deflate:
<https://muttmua.gitlab.io/mutt/manual-dev.html#imap-deflate>
Enables compression over IMAP.

* $fcc_delimiter
<https://muttmua.gitlab.io/mutt/manual-dev.html#fcc-delimiter>
Allows specifying multiple mailboxes in fcc-hook or $record

* mailboxes -label and -nopoll flags
<https://muttmua.gitlab.io/mutt/manual-dev.html#mailboxes>
"-label" allows specifying a label to print in the sidebar/mailbox=20
browser instead of the mailbox path. "-nopoll" allows specifying a=20
mailbox that won't be polled for mail, which could be useful for those=20
who want to load up their sidebar but not have to poll every one of=20
those mailboxes.

* ISO 8601 calendar dates for pattern searching.
Allows YYYYMMDD date patterns.

* $crypt_opportunistic_encrypt_strong_keys
<https://muttmua.gitlab.io/mutt/manual-dev.html#crypt-opportunistic-encrypt=
-strong-keys>
Restricts opportunistic encrypt to full-validity ("strong") keys. Can=20
be useful for those with large keyrings who don't want to encrypt to=20
everyone in them.

* ~b ~B ~h pattern matching in send-2hook
This can be used to tweek settings based the composed message content.=20
For example, enabling $send_multipart_alternative if the message=20
contains markdown or a particular marker.

* Compose menu <move-up> and <move-down> functions.

* Sidebar <sidebar-first> and <sidebar-last> functions.

* cross compilation:
Two of the compile-time tools have been re-written in Perl, which=20
should fix long standing cross-compilation issues.

* Lastly, I'm considering enabling $imap_qresync by default.  I haven't=20
gotten much feedback on this feature though. If you are using an IMAP=20
server that supports QRESYNC, I'd appreciate if you would try enabling=20
it and see if you encounter any problems.

Please send any feedback to gitlab or to the mutt-dev mailing list.
Thank you in advance!

-Kevin
