I've been around Unix for a long time, and if I ever saw Delete delete 
backward, I've forgotten it. (I seem to remember all those keys off to 
the right being unreliable, long ago.) And I agree that it's not ideal 
for two keys to do the same thing.

I lean toward making this change -- make Delete delete forward.
