save mail to folder instead of sending

Hi,

TO not get into a long story, I would like to save email to a (Maildir) folder when I press send (instead of actually sending it). Is it possible to do so using mutt?

I know this is a weird request, but believe me, I have some reason for this that is long-winded.

So far, what I have been doing is to use postfix to deliver to a non-existent server, and saving the outgoing file to a "record" folder, but I want to eliminate the unnecessary use of postfix. Hence my question.
