Hi!

I did not change anything, what I did was add apache to neomail in
/etc/group

OK, so we know that works as root.

1) What user/group does your apache run as? (I'm guessing apache/apache
   unless you've changed it).

2) You said that you'd fixed the permission-problem. It sounds to me
like
   maybe it's not completely fixed. Show the dir-listings again!

If neomail.pl runs (which it does), it tries to spawn the checklogin.pl
script which should return 0 and allow access to the user in question.
What's troublesome in situations like these is that you must replicate
the exact environment in which apache/perl works in order to find the
problem.
