Hello NeoMail Users,
I've been using NeoMail for about 6 months. I think it is a very good
program. Thank you Ernie.
I recently ran into a problem. I was adding modules to Perl (Magik) for
another program and -- I'm not sure there is a connection here but -- I
was unable to use NeoMail afterwards. The CPAN asked to manually
reconfigure the conf file and I declined whereby it started an
auto-configuration routine.
My first indication of a problem was the standard "unable to locate
neomail.conf" error. I found that my permissions to the *.pl files were
changed. (?!) So.. I changed them back to the correct permissions. Now I
attempt to log into NeoMail and get the following error:
INVALID LOGIN
"Sorry, the password you entered was incorrect! Please go back and try
again."
So, I added a new user to my account and still I get the same error.

Another bit of related information:
I have an MD5 error when I try to install any perl modules, e.g.:
cpan> install Bundle::CPAN
CPAN: MD5 loaded ok
Can't locate object method "new" via package "MD5" (perhaps you forgot
to load "MD5"?) at /usr/lib/perl5/5.6.1/CPAN.pm line 4212.

I "autobundle" in CPAN and get the following information:
Package namespace installed latest in CPAN file
.
.
Digest::MD5 2.20 2.20 G/GA/GAAS/Digest-
MD5-2.20.tar.gz
.
.
MD5 2.20 2.02 G/GA/GAAS/MD5-2.02.tar.gz
.
.
Note the "installed" vs the "latest" version numbers for MD5. (?)
cpan> install MD5
MD5 is up to date.
cpan> install Digest::MD5
Digest::MD5 is up to date.
